Email and password
This is the standard way in. Your password is never stored in a readable form. CRE Fuel remembers you on a device you have signed in on before, so you are not retyping it every morning. A new device asks again.Changing your password
There is no old-password-then-new-password form inside CRE Fuel, and that is on purpose. Password changes use a single-use, time-limited link sent to the account email address.1
Ask for the link
Settings > Security > Email me a link to change my password. Or, from the sign-in screen, use Set my password.
2
Open the email
Click the link. It works once and it expires.
3
Set the new password
Type it in and you are done.
Sign in with Google
If you have a Google account, you can use it to sign in. Google checks who you are and tells CRE Fuel your email address. CRE Fuel uses OpenID Connect for this, and asks Google for three things only:openid, email, and profile.
Signing in gives CRE Fuel your identity and nothing else. It cannot read your mail, your calendar, or your contacts. Those permissions cannot be granted through the sign-in screen at all.
Connecting your calendar is separate
Signing in and connecting something are two different things, and it is worth knowing which is which. CRE Fuel never asks for access to your mail. It does not read your inbox, and there is no feature that does. Your calendar is optional, and it is something you switch on yourself in Settings > Calendar β signing in never does it for you. If you connect it:- CRE Fuel can see when you are already committed, so it does not book you over an appointment you already have.
- Nothing already on your calendar is changed, moved, or deleted.
- Your calendar is not copied into CRE Fuel. Existing events are read to answer βare you free then?β at the moment the answer is needed.

Sign-in attempts are slowed down and then locked for a short period. This is normal and it protects your account. Wait a few minutes and try again.
