A blast goes to a saved contact list. There is no separate list builder in Marketing, and nothing here is called an “audience” — that word was retired.
You build these lists on the Contacts screen, not in Marketing.Filter your contacts however you need, save that list, and it appears in the Send to picker the next time you send a blast. One place to build a segment, one segment model across the whole app, rather than two lists that drift apart.

Building one

1

Go to Contacts and filter

Use the filter rail to narrow to the people you want. Combine as many filters as you like.
2

Save the list

Save it with a clear, specific name. That name is what you will be picking from later, so “Industrial owners, north valley” beats “List 3”.
3

Use it in a blast

In Marketing Blasts, pick it from Send to.

What is already in the picker

You do not have to build anything to send your first blast. The picker offers All contacts, then the built-in CRE segments, then your own saved lists. The built-in segments are the same ones in your Contacts nav:
Your AI call lists are deliberately kept out of the Send to picker. When you ask AI Fuel to build you a call list, that is a money-priority list of people to phone. Those are not a mailing list, and having them in the Send to dropdown is how someone accidentally emails a list they meant to dial. They stay in Contacts where they belong. This is on purpose, not an omission.

Lists stay current

A saved list is a filter, not a frozen snapshot of names. If someone gains a tag or goes cold, they move in or out of the list on their own. You never rebuild it by hand.
Check the recipient count before you send. It is the fastest way to catch a filter that is broader or narrower than you meant, and it costs two seconds.
