# Fix Contact Drift and Work Your Follow-Up List Daily

> Learn how CRE Fuel flags contacts that have gone quiet and how to work your prioritized follow-up list before those deals go cold.

Contacts slip through the cracks in every brokerage. CRE Fuel tracks when you last reached out to each person and flags anyone you have not touched in too long. This feature is called drift, and working through your follow-up list every morning is the fastest way to fix it.

## What Is Drift?

A contact "drifts" when no outreach has happened in longer than your target cadence. The default threshold is 30 days. If you have not called, texted, or logged any activity with a contact in 30 days, CRE Fuel marks that contact as drifted.

Drift is not a failure. It is a signal. It tells you who needs attention before they forget who you are.

<Note>
  You can change the drift threshold in **Settings > Scorecard**. If your market moves faster, try 14 days. If you have a large database of long-term prospects, 45 or 60 days may be more realistic.
</Note>

## The Follow-Ups Tab

The Follow-Ups tab under Your Numbers shows every contact who is due for outreach today. The list is sorted by most overdue first, so the contacts who have gone the longest without hearing from you are always at the top.

Each row in the list shows:

* The contact name and company
* How many days since your last outreach
* The last activity you logged with them
* A **Call** button and a **Text** button

## Work Your Follow-Up List

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Your Follow-Up List">
    Click **Your Numbers** in the left sidebar, then click the **Follow-Ups** tab.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start at the Top">
    The most overdue contact is listed first. Read the last activity note so you have context before you reach out.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Call or Text">
    Click **Call** to dial the contact directly through CRE Fuel, or click **Text** to open a text thread. CRE Fuel logs the attempt automatically.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Log the Outcome">
    After the call or text, enter a brief note about what happened. Select an outcome such as Left Voicemail, Connected, or Not Interested. This clears the contact from your overdue list and resets their drift timer.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Move to the Next Contact">
    Repeat for the next contact on the list. Work through as many as you can before switching to other tasks.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Work your follow-up list before you start prospecting new contacts each day. Warming up existing relationships is almost always faster than building new ones from scratch.
