# Find and Merge Duplicate Contacts to Keep Your List Clean

> Keep your CRE Fuel contact list clean by reviewing CRE Fuel's suggested duplicates and merging records into one with a single click.

Duplicate contacts clutter your list, skew your call counts, and cause confusion when you're working fast. CRE Fuel automatically finds likely duplicates so you can clean them up in minutes.

<Info>
  CRE Fuel finds duplicates by matching phone number or email address. If two records share either one, they appear as a suggested match for you to review.
</Info>

## What Happens When You Merge

When you merge two contacts, CRE Fuel keeps the most complete information from both records. Notes, tags, and activity history are combined into the surviving record.
