# Make Calls and Send Texts to Any Contact in CRE Fuel

> Call or text any contact without switching apps. CRE Fuel logs every conversation automatically and ties it to the right contact record.

Every call and text you make in CRE Fuel is logged automatically to the contact's record. You never have to copy notes between apps or wonder if a follow-up happened. This page shows you how to reach a contact by phone or text in under thirty seconds.

## Making a Call

  <Step title="Open the contact record">
    Search for the contact's name in the top search bar, then click their name to open the record.

  <Step title="Click the phone icon">
    Find the phone icon next to the contact's number. Click it. CRE Fuel dials the number immediately.

  <Step title="Wait for the call to connect">
    A call panel slides up at the bottom of your screen. You will hear ringing. Talk when the contact picks up. Click **End Call** when you are finished.

  Calls go out showing **your own cell number**, the one your contacts already know. When they call back, it rings your cell.

## Sending a Text

  <Step title="Open the contact record">
    Search for the contact and click their name to open the record.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click the message icon">
    Find the message icon next to the contact's phone number. Click it. A text compose window opens.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Type your message">
    Write your message in the text field. You can use a saved template by clicking **Templates** and selecting one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Send">
    Click the **Send** button. The message is delivered and logged to the contact's activity feed right away.

  You can also text from the **Conversations** tab. Go there when you want to see your full back-and-forth thread with a contact before you reply.
